How the Skolra News Desk finds, writes, checks and corrects the news on skolra.ng.
Last updated 23 October 2026.
What we cover
News for students preparing for JAMB, WAEC, NECO and post-UTME, and for candidates waiting for admission: exam dates and registration, results, CAPS and admission lists, school fees and resumption, scholarships and student loans.
Where our news comes from
We report what official bodies announce: JAMB, WAEC, NECO, the National Universities Commission (NUC), NELFUND, the Federal Ministry of Education and the schools themselves. When there is no official notice yet, we may report what news outlets we trust have said, and the article says so at the top: we have not yet seen an official notice.
How we write
We write every article in our own words, in plain English. Each one says what happened and who it affects. When there is something you need to do, it says what to do and by when. Where we have a guide on the subject, the article links to it.
We do not copy other websites' articles or pictures. The pictures on our news are our own.
How software helps
We use software to help us find news and write first drafts. An article goes out only after it passes our checks on dates, names and figures.
How we make past questions and explanations
The questions come from past JAMB, WAEC and NECO papers. We use software to help write the answer options and explanations, and every answer is checked twice before it goes on the site.
What we never publish
- Questions said to come from an exam that has not been written yet.
- Rumours about exam papers.
- Fake admission lists.
Corrections
If you find a mistake in an article, write to [email protected] with the page address, or use the contact page. We check it, and if it is wrong we fix it and add a dated line at the end of the article that says what we changed.
Corrections log
When a correction changes what an article means, we list it here with the date, the article and what changed. There are no entries yet.
Independence
Skolra is a private Nigerian company, SKOLRA EDUTECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED, in Ibadan, Oyo State. We are not part of JAMB, WAEC, NECO or any school. Nobody pays us to publish news. We sell the Skolra app, and that never changes a fact on this site.
Contact
Email [email protected] or use the contact page. To see how we check the figures on our other pages, read how we check.
