How to check your JAMB result
Skolra is not part of JAMB. For official news, see jamb.gov.ng.
In short
- Send UTMERESULT by SMS to 55019 or 66019, from the same phone number you used to register.
- The SMS only tells you your score. Schools ask for the original result slip, which you print from your JAMB profile.
- If the reply says "No Result Yet", your result is held back for now. It is not a network fault.
- Use only JAMB's own channels. Ignore anyone who offers to "check" or "upgrade" your result.

When JAMB results come out
JAMB usually releases results in batches, while the exam is still going on. In 2026 the UTME started on 16 April, and the first results came out within days. By 19 April 2026, JAMB had released close to 1.9 million results.
The date for the next UTME results has not been announced. If you have just written, check a few days after your exam day.
How to check by SMS
- Use the SIM card you used when you registered for JAMB. A different number will not work.
- Make sure you have airtime on it. The network charges for the message.
- Type UTMERESULT as one word, with no space.
- Send it to 55019 or 66019.
- Wait for the reply with your score. The UTME is scored out of 400.
If you sat the JAMB mock exam, its result is checked the same way, with MOCKRESULT. More about the JAMB mock exam.
How to print your original result slip
The SMS is not proof of your result. For post-UTME screening and admission, schools ask for the original result slip. It shows your photo, your scores and other details, and has security features on it.
- Wait until JAMB announces that slip printing has started. In 2026 it began some weeks after the results.
- Go to jamb.gov.ng and log in to your profile on the e-Facility portal.
- Choose the option to print the UTME result slip and pay the fee shown.
- Print it, and keep copies for every school that asks.
You can do this on your own phone or computer, or at a business centre. Never give your password to someone you do not trust.
"No Result Yet" and withheld results
JAMB holds back some results while it checks them. The common reasons are:
- Suspected exam malpractice at a centre or by a candidate. JAMB investigates, then releases the result if the candidate is cleared, or cancels it if malpractice is proven. On 21 May 2026, JAMB released 279 results it had held back after the checks found no wrongdoing.
- Age. In 2026, JAMB said "No Result Yet" was shown to candidates under 16. They could only be considered with a very high score and strong results in later screening.
- A problem on the exam day, such as a fingerprint failure. In 2026, JAMB held a mop-up exam on 13 June for candidates who were verified but could not sit, and said there would be no further exam after it.
What to do: keep checking with the same SMS code. Follow JAMB's official announcements. If JAMB invites you to an interview or a check, go. Do not pay anyone who says they can release your result.
Common problems
- No reply to the SMS. Check your airtime and network, then try the other number, 55019 or 66019. Wait some hours and try again. It is often busy in the first days.
- "Invalid" or no record found. You may be sending from a different phone number. Use the exact SIM you registered with.
- You lost that SIM. Since September 2026, JAMB lets you change your registered phone number or email once, at a JAMB office or approved centre, after a fingerprint check and with a court affidavit.
- Your score looks wrong. You can only rely on JAMB. Look at the subject scores on your original slip, and follow any notice JAMB puts out about result reviews.
- You got a text saying your result can be "upgraded" for a fee. It is a scam. JAMB does not change scores for money.
After you have your result
Compare your score with the school's cut-off mark for your course. Then watch for the school's post-UTME screening and keep an eye on CAPS for an offer. Read how JAMB CAPS works.
