Polytechnics and colleges of education
At JAMB's policy meeting of 11 May 2026, the lowest mark for polytechnics, colleges of education and monotechnics was set at 100 for 2026/2027. Candidates for NCE, or for an OND in non-technological agriculture, register for the UTME without sitting it, and their admission still goes through CAPS.
Each school sets its own marks too:
A low minimum is not a promise
A school's minimum lets you apply. Popular courses ask for far more, and many schools rank candidates by an aggregate of the UTME, the post-UTME and O'level grades. See the cut-off marks for Nursing, Medicine and Surgery, Law and Computer Science.
