Felix Ebenezer Opata Foundation gives N20m materials to Lagos students

Reports say the Felix Ebenezer Opata Foundation gave N20million worth of learning supplies to 461 pupils in Lagos. We have not yet seen an official notice.
The materials were presented at the Foundation’s maiden outreach to students from Education District 1. Chairman Mrs. Catherine Opata said the outreach supports the educational aspirations of the 461 students across Lagos State Education District 1, especially Alimosho LGA.
Head of Operations Mr. Fredrick Opata said the items included school bags, pens, maths kits, calculators, notebooks, pens and books. Mrs. Opata urged the students to study diligently and make good use of the educational materials.
The Foundation holds that learning is a key investment Nigeria can make for young people's futures. Mr. Felix Ebenezer Opata traced the Foundation’s journey to 40 years of supporting people in need.
It plans to serve over 5,000 children each year, reach more than 20 communities, train over 300 teachers and provide practical skills to more than 1,000 youths. The Foundation is also looking for money to support sponsorships, learning supplies, teacher training, community work and measuring impact.
