JAMB proposes NIN alignment service for university graduates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has proposed a National Identification Number alignment service for graduates. Prof. Segun Aina, who is the JAMB Registrar, announced the proposed service during a visit from a Veritas University delegation. The service will allow graduates to update their biodata so that their records with JAMB match National Identity Management Commission records.
The proposed project aims to help affected graduates join the National Youth Service Corps scheme. Mismatched personal details currently affect thousands of graduates who finished their university programs four or five years ago.
Candidates who cannot access their registered telephone numbers or email addresses can now change their details and regularise their relationship with JAMB. JAMB also urged universities to work together with it to regularise admissions. The board warned that candidates admitted outside the Central Admissions Processing System will experience recognition issues.
