NUC approves 34 programmes for new Epe university

According to reports, the National Universities Commission approved 34 undergraduate courses for the Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe, Lagos State. We have not yet seen an official notice from NUC.

Reports state that the clearance was delivered through a letter written on 23 October 2026. Executive Secretary Professor Abdullahi Ribadu signed the letter which permits the institution to begin teaching the courses during the 2026/2027 academic session.

Every approved course has a entry limit of 50 students, which creates 1,700 total spaces for new learners. The permission is restricted strictly to full-time learning, meaning part-time options require a different request.

The school was established in November 2025. It will temporarily share structure and equipment at the Epe premises of Lagos State University until it transfers to its permanent grounds.

The approved choices fall under five separate faculties. The Faculty of Computing and Informatics contains Computer Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Communication Technology and Software Engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering will offer programmes in Geomatics, Biomedical, Systems, Environmental, Chemical, Petroleum, Civil, Metallurgical, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering.

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences will provide courses in Prosthetics and Orthotics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Complementary and Alternative Medicines, Health Information Management, Nursing Science, and Public Health.

Lastly, the Faculty of Management Sciences and Technology encompasses Business Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Transportation Management.
